Most 3 Dimensional objects can be drawn using the basic forms of cylinder, sphere, cube, and cone. In our project students will be expected to transform a number of their objects into everyday items to create an overall scene and employ the use of proportion and texture. We viewed a slideshow in which there were a number of examples of different objects created from basic forms.
The goal of this project is to teach students not only the difference between a shape and a form but also how to replicate forms on a 2D surface. Together we will learn how to use methods of shading (blending, hatching, cross hatching and stippling) to create the illusion of form in a drawing.
