- Cut two images the same size from magazines
- One of the images should be cut into horizontal strips while the other is cut into vertical strips (leaving the end intact). You can alter one by doing zig zags or wavy cuts.
- Weave the two images together by altering the image over/under
- Glue into your journal
Change your perspective by combining two different images or ideas. For artists this process is called juxtaposition. Artist/Photographer David Samuel Stern creates weavings with his digital photography to elicit new and interesting responses from his audience (see image below). Weave together two totally different found images:
